American Diabetes Association’s 85th Annual Meeting

We had a wonderful time at the American Diabetes Association’s 85th Annual Meeting. While ADA meetings traditionally feature a stronger focus on type 2 diabetes, it was a real highlight this year to see so many excellent sessions dedicated to type 1 diabetes—especially in the immunology and microbiology space.

The Altindis Lab participated in the 2025 GRC on IGF-1 and Insulin Systems in Physiology and Disease, held in Ventura, California. Sudarshan delivered an oral presentation, while Aurelien presented both a poster and an oral talk. Both received travel awards in recognition of their contributions, and Aurelien was honored with the Best Poster Award.

Altindis Lab’s sixth anniversary at Boston College

As we mark the 6th anniversary of the Altindis Lab, we reflect on our collective achievements in the areas of insulin/IGF signaling and the gut microbiome. Over the years, we have had the privilege of working with 8 postdocs, 4 graduate students, and 35 undergraduate researchers, culminating in 12 research publications. We are deeply grateful to all those who have contributed to this journey.
